SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS: INSTRUCTIONS

 

 

ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

 

The organising committee invites participants to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 15th of June 2004. We advise that participants read carefully the instructions on the submission of abstracts before your preparation, as failure to comply may lead to rejection of the abstract. A registration form MUST accompany all abstracts.

 

Oral presentation

The maximum time for each free paper will be 8 minutes of presentation and 2 minutes for discussion. All presentations must be made in English. Slides should be of the 35mm format (24mm x 36mm).  LCD projection will also be made available. Slides for the LCD projection should be prepared in the Power Point version 7.0 and below using Windows 95/98. Double projection is strictly prohibited.

 

Poster presentation

Selected posters will be discussed during the poster sessions. The maximum size of the poster should not exceed 1m by 1m.

 
Instructions for submission of abstracts

1.                  The deadline for receipt of abstracts is 15th of June 2004.

2.                  A completed registration form including fees must accompany all abstracts.

3.                  The original abstract and 4 copies must be sent to:

4.                  All abstracts are to be written in English and must be submitted without corrections, smudges, errors and misspellings. Photocopies of the forms may be reproduced for use.

5.                  The entire abstract must not exceed 250 words and must fit within the frame of the form and leaving a clear margin at all the four sides of the frame.

6.                  Abstracts must be submitted in Times New Roman font in 10-point type.

7.                  Authors should include a short precise title in capital letters within the top box, clearly defining the topic of the abstract.

8.                  The authors’ last names, initials, their institutions, city and country should be listed immediately beneath the abstract title, typed in upper and lower case and single-spaced.

9.                  The abstract should be type-set in upper and lower case and single spaced. The format of writing out the: Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusion is greatly recommended.
